SHORT AND STRONG NOVENA TO ST JOHN BOSCO

 

Dear St John Bosco, 

In need of special help, I appeal with confidence to you, for I require not only spiritual graces, but also temporal ones, and in particular for... (here mention your intentions). 

May you who on earth had such devotion to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and to Mary Help of Christians, and who always had compassion to those who were suffering, obtain from Jesus and His heavenly mother the grace for which I now pray. I also ask for a sincere resignation to the will of God.  Amen. 

Offer an Our Father, a Hail Mary and a Glory Be.

Then when he was a very busy priest, St John Bosco was given an array of dreams on the nature of the soul in mortal sin, on the beauty of the soul that has preserved its baptismal innocence, of the spiritual vagrancy that is the lot of the soul in serious sin and the spiritual luxury of the soul who has repented. T'was revealed to St John Bosco why the Rosary is a weapon. St John Bosco was also taken to Hell in a dream, which is perhaps the most important dream he ever had.
