DISCERNING IF OUR LADY OF AKITA'S WARNINGS ARE UNFURLING BEFORE OUR EYES

 The tourism of terror; gaggles of visitors to L.A. have been gathering to watch the huge, looming mushroom clouds of dust that can be seen erupting over the Malibu horizon. The clouds spin across the blue wall of the sky; like a smoker who can blow smoke rings.

Then in plain view of the mounds of black ash outside my door and the windows speckled with soot, in these days of wildfires, I observe a city undergoing involuntary sackcloth and ashes.  As I brush up the grit daily, I'm also brushing up on Our Lady of Akita who appeared to Sr Agnes Sasagowa in Japan and gave the prophecy about fire falling from the sky which isn't exactly happening yet, but these fires may be a dress rehearsal. I'm starting with a particularly good documentary which includes a thoroughly detailed look at Our Lady of Akita. I watched it a few years ago, and while Japan is a 12 hour flight away, the contents of Our Lady's warning as to that which would befall us if we didn't repent seem eerily close to home.
