112 YEARS AGO TODAY IN CORK, IRELAND...
...Little Nellie of Holy God breathed her last on the Feast of the Purification of Mary and of the Presentation of the Child Jesus in the Temple. She was aged 4 years, 5 months and 8 days old.
When news of Nellie's passing reached the ears of a woman who had received an inexplicable cure for illness after she invited Nellie's prayers, the woman sent a fragrant bouquet of early spring violets and they were placed into Nellie's dead, joined hands.
As Nellie died in February, and this is a short month as was Nellie's life, I am dedicating my posts this month to her and in a wider way to the Infant of Prague, Who was Nellie's great love.
