Over eleven times the population of Ireland has been lost in abortion in the US, in the last 38 years

The populace of the 18 states in black symbolises the 50,000,000 reported abortions, which have been done in the US, since 1973.
There are just under four and a half million people living in the Republic of Ireland. This signifies that well over eleven times the population of Ireland has been lost in abortion in the US, in the last 38 years.

  1. I've linked to your post on my blog Mary. It is truly horrifying , when looked on in this stark statistical way. Really brings home just how many people have been murdered. Thank you for bringing this to light. Lord have mercy on us all.

  4. This is a eugenics program from the very beginning hatched by Margaret Sanger in the early 20th century....In the 50 million lives taken since Roe v Wade, the incidence of abortion has resulted in a tremendous loss of life in the black community. It has been estimated that since 1973 black women have had about 16 million abortions. Michael Novak had calculated “Since the number of current living Blacks (in the U.S.) is 36 million, the missing 16 million represents an enormous loss, for without abortion, America’s Black community would now number 52 million persons. It would be 36 percent larger than it is. Abortion has swept through the Black community like a scythe, cutting down every fourth member.”

    This is the real story..........Patrick

  5. I get in trouble in Catholic circles sometimes for the way I talk about the abortion issue. But I'll say what I normally say, anyway, and Ms. O'Regan can decide if it belongs in her blog.

    (1) The timing of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court abortion decision -- 1973, or 13 years AFTER The Pill was approved as a contraceptive in 1960 -- is not an accident.

The Pill immensely popularized contraceptive thinking in Western culture, which in turn generated a deeply ingrained, sexual - pleasure - reinforced expectation in Society of a sex freed of the risk of child-bearing and of the bonds of marriage.

As that expectation of risk - free sexual pleasure suffused the next generation, pre-marital virginity, and the concept of sexual self-control, died, and even became grounds for social disgust. (Virgins are now the "weirdoes" in social settings.)

The legions of young people expecting and demanding risk - free sex brought with it a high number of cases involving contraceptive FAILURE and pregnancy. Young people whose expectations and demands for risk - free sex are frustrated by pregnancy frequently opted and still opt to murder their own offspring.

So, PERFECTLY contrary to the thinking of those who say, "If devout Catholics don't like abortion, their Churcvh should SUPPOPRT contraceptive use," in fact contraceptive use is the thing which CAUSES abortion!

Whereas just about every Roman Catholic parish in the world has a "pro - life" allocation in their budget, very, very, very few parishes actively oppose contraceptive use. Since contraceptive use is the CAUSE, and abortion is the EFFECT, pro - life allocations don't really address the problem. They are just a spitting - into - the - wind; they are just "window dressing."

One of previous bishops in the Camden Diocese here in New Jersey dramatized how true this is, years ago, when he ordered every priest in the Diocese to preach against contraceptive use on a particular Sunday.

One - third of the priests, frightened of the anger which would ensue among church - going Catholics (three - quarters of whom used or use contraceptives) disobeyed.

In the remaining two - thirds of parishes, hundreds of Catholics walked - out of Mass during the homily, and thousands of letters venting poisonous hatred were sent to parishes and the diocesan offices.

There is an unspoken fear among our clergy that a well - financed ongoing program of anti - contraceptive teaching would "empty the pews" and destroy Church finances.

Church - going Catholics -- our people -- are among contraception's biggest fans, and so we help to generate that social expectation of risk free sex without self - control which causes all of those abortions.

  6. So many innocent young lives tossed away as unloved and unneeded refuse. Even one baby ripped from its mother's womb is one too many! Now we have Biden and Harris set to lead and set examples
to America and the world that abortion at any stage is lawful and even desirable if it suits the mother and the radical Left. A nation that kills its own citizens is on the long dark road to perdition. God bless the USA and save her from this evil.--
