PADRE PIO ON OUR LADY: "GOD PLACED ALL HIS GRACES IN HER HANDS"

I had the most marvelous time on my friend, Dr Gavin Ashenden's podcast holding forth on Our Blessed Mother.  I also had the joy of talking about Wonder Worker, a book on St Philomena that is inspired.

  1. Such a great interview! I purchased your book on Padre Pio a few days ago. I'm trying to pass on the faith to my children as a single father, and have offered them to her for protection. Lately, I have felt drawn to a stronger devotion to Padre Pio, which I had when I was younger. Thank you for your book and for your amazing insights regarding Our Lady and Padre Pio. I look forward to reading your book. God Bless, Jerry

    1. Wow, thank you so much for offering such heroic generosity. You are so good.
      God reward you!

The idea for a PP movie, based on my book, is really only an idea at the moment. And my poor writing may not make a script and my production skills may not interest the sort of director that could make it work. Anyway, it's a long way off, at least a year before I've pitched it successfully. But God bless you for your kindness. And Merry Christmas!

  3. Hi Mary, I’ve just watched a YouTube video on the alleged vision of St Padre Pio in 1912 on the efficacy and power of a single Hail Mary. With so many AI videos nowadays, I’m wondering if the vision really took place. If so, could you please provide a citation for the account, given your undisputed status as a Padre Pio Expert? Thank you and have a Blessed Christmas!

    1. Dear Kelvin,

Thank you for inviting my help. I have given your question much thought and prayer. To my knowledge, I can't confirm the vision took place, so I cannot provide a citation.

I have serious concerns regarding the AI videos about Padre Pio. Not all AI videos or ones made with such help but the ones on Pio I've seen cause me to feel pulled in two directions, like they are a mix of Pio and an aggregate of other things and I'm left sorting between the two and then left feeling a lack of peace.

Pio would of course have extolled prayer to Our Lady - in ways big and small. He always said, "duty first, even before prayer." So if a person has only time for ione Hail Mary, then Pio would have encouraged this. But if a person had more time and could offer more prayer without it compromising their duties, then Pio would have wanted this.

Oh, and it is kind of you to call me an expert, but even more now than when I started I feel like a maid or janitor who dusts the image of Pio so that he is brighter for all the people who need to see him most clearly.

God bless you, and Merry Christmas to you and your family, Mary
