A SHORT PRAYER FOR THE HOLY SOULS

You may consider offering this prayer devoutly for the relief of the Holy Souls. The prayer is strong in its succinctness and is an poignant appeal to Our Lord to release drops of His Precious Blood on the Poor Souls. As always the suffering souls will be so grateful to you that they will pray unceasingly on your behalf.  Perhaps t'would also be idea to memorize this prayer and pray it when you feel called, or when you have a pang of compassion for those sequestered in the sea of flames, or Sojourn of Hope that is Purgatory.

O, most gentle Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in Purgatory, have mercy on the souls of Thy departed servants. Be not severe in Thy judgments, but let some drops of Thy Precious Blood fall upon the devouring flames. And do Thou, O Merciful Saviour, send Thy angels to conduct them to a place of refreshment, light and peace. Amen.
