OUR BLESSED MOTHER REVEALED TO LUISA PICCARRETA THE WONDERS OF THE HOLY NAME

Our Blessed Mother told Luisa Piccarreta of the moment she and St Joseph bestowed the Holy Name on Jesus when He was a Babe, "As He was circumcised, we gave Him the Most Holy Name of Jesus...In pronouncing this Most Holy Name, the joy, the contentment, was such as to sweeten our sorrow."

The Mother of God revealed to Luisa that their joy in saying the Holy Name was not theirs alone, nor solely a way to sweeten sorrow, "More so, since in this Name, whoever wanted to, would find balm for his pains, the defense in dangers, the victory in temptations, the hand so as not to fall into sin, the medicine for all his evils." The Holy Name as medicine for "all" evils calls to mind that the Holy Name was a panacea to the people of Portugal when the pitiless plague was laying to waste the lives of millions so much so the country was nearly a charnel house, before the recitation of the Holy Name became their miraculous cure.

Our Lady told  Luisa, "This Most Holy Name of Jesus makes hell tremble; the Angels revere It" which counsels us as to our spiritual friends and foes, because Guardian Angels shine with joy on hearing the name "Jesus" and devils quake to their hooves.

A revealing case from modern times of the absolute aversion the demons have to the Holy Name Jesse Romero's latest book where he relates that the possessed, the souls who are perfectly occupied by demons may not say, "Jesus is Lord" because the demon in control of the bodily organs of the person will not permit it.

In a powerful parallel of the teaching of St Paul, Our Lady taught Luisa, "Before this Name, all bow down and adore."

The Blessed Mother extolled her Son's Name to Luisa, "Powerful Name, holy Name, great Name; whoever invokes It with faith will feel the marvels, the miraculous secret of the virtue of this Most Holy Name."

A special thank-you to my friend, Frank Rega who is giving me an expert introduction to the works of Luisa Piccarreta. The colloquy that I have quoted from in the above post is from The Blessed Virgin Mary in the Kingdom of the Divine Will.
