HER BIRTHDAY WAS PADRE PIO’S BIRTHDAY INTO HEAVEN

 After Holy Mass today I had the lovely surprise of meeting Denise and Johnny who are reading Padre Pio and You.

So far they like the book and feel closer Pio. Denise has a special connection in that she was born on September 23, the day Pio left this earth for Heaven. So she celebrates her favorite saint's feast day on the day of her birth. She and Johnny are Mexican and we talked about how Pio is very popular there.

I had never met this devout, genial couple before. I think they googled my picture so as to recognize me. It was a “coincidence” that Denise and I were both wearing matching emerald green. Getting ready at 7 am, I had an instinct to wear my elm-leaf dress and standing alongside beautiful Denise it felt scripted in Heaven.
