"I SEE SO MANY SOULS OF THE DEAD THEY DON'T FRIGHTEN ME ANYMORE..."

The title of this post is something Padre Pio said after he had gotten used to souls in Purgatory coming to him asking for prayer and Holy Masses to be offered for them. I have had a few encounters with souls in Purgatory - nothing on the level that Pio had - but I echo him when I say they don't cause me anxiety anymore.

I had a lovely time appearing on Alvaro Interiano's podcast, "Uniquely Mary", and I spoke about the time a lady in the highest part of Purgatory came and comforted me when I'd spent 2 years working on the book, and had another 6 years to go. She is now in the heavenly realm and enjoys bliss.

Potentially I made a political faux-pas when I shared that Uniquely Mary is my favorite You-Tube channel and that I love the show Alvaro did on Our Lady of Knock. I don't want other podcasts to feel the less, it's just that I have a shared passion with Alvaro and his viewers for coming to the aid of those souls being assayed in Purgatorial flames.

  1. Thank you so much for writing this book and for doing the interview on Alvaro's YouTube channel. I just found out about your blog through your inteview with Alvaro, and I bought a copy of your book.

I also live in Los Angeles and attend a traditional Mass. God bless you and thank you for the work you are doing for our city. I often pray in reparation for the sins thereof.

I look forward to reading your book, and thank you again for all your work on Saint Padre Pio.

  3. Thank you for writing the Padre Pio book-i learned new several facts and you vividly described his family members. Turns out Padre Pio faced challenges among them which makes him more relatable!

I wish you all good things Mary—and a large portion of happiness in this world -and the next!

    1. Dear Deborah, Thank you for your lovely comment. Writing about Pio's family was a challenge, but it has warmed people to him, because as you so rightly say it makes him more relatable. I wish you all good things, too, on earth and in eternity, yours in the Lord, Mary

  4. Hello! I also found you through Uniquely Mary. I can't wait to read your book especially because it took you so long and it's amazing what you went through with getting it finished! Padre Pio is my favorite saint, I've also had some experiences with him, although more so "ordinary". I'm a convert, former Protestant :) From, Rachel S.
