PLEASE JOIN ME IN STARTING THE NEW YEAR WITH A NOVENA TO ST PHILOMENA

I am starting the new year of 2022 with a novena to St Philomena. I am excited that the novena will begin on January 1st and end on January 9th which is the eve of Philomena's birthday which as she revealed to Mother Mary Louisa falls on January 10th.

Please feel free to join me in reciting this lovely novena and begin the year in supplication to the Princess of Heaven. A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOURS!

The 3-Part Novena to St Philomena

We beseech Thee, O Lord, to grant us the pardon of our sins by the intercession of Saint Philomena, virgin and martyr, who was always pleasing in Thy sight by her eminent chastity and by the profession of every virtue. Amen.

Illustrious virgin and martyr, Saint Philomena, behold me prostrate before the throne whereupon it has pleased the Most Holy Trinity to place thee. Full of confidence in thy protection, I entreat thee to intercede for me with God, from the heights of Heaven deign to cast a glance upon thy humble client! Spouse of Christ, sustain me in suffering, fortify me in temptation, protect me in the dangers surrounding me, obtain for me the graces necessary to me, and in particular (Here specify your petition).

Above all, assist me at the hour of my death. Saint Philomena, powerful with God, pray for us. Amen.

O God, Most Holy Trinity, we thank Thee for the graces Thou didst bestow upon the Blessed Virgin Mary, and upon Thy handmaid Philomena, through whose intercession we implore Thy Mercy. Amen.

  1. I am on it, Mary! And, I like how your blog is set up - I say the novena, and then jump right down to the Litany of St. Philomena!

    1. Amazing, I am doing the exact same thing. Every morning, I say the novena for my friend's accommodation and work intentions and then I offer the litany. I'm offering the litany every day as a matter of course.
